Who We Are

ScholarshipsPortal.in is a student-first information directory built by a team of educators, technologists, and former scholarship recipients who understand the challenges faced by students navigating India's complex educational funding ecosystem.

We started this portal after realizing that thousands of meritorious students — particularly from tier-2 and tier-3 cities, rural areas, and economically weaker sections — miss out on lakhs of rupees in educational support simply because they didn't know about a scheme, couldn't decode its eligibility language, or were misled by commercial middlemen charging "application fees."

Our platform aggregates, verifies, and simplifies scholarship information from central ministries, state social welfare departments, private foundations, and CSR programs. We present it in a modern, clutter-free interface designed for students who may be accessing the internet from low-bandwidth connections on mobile phones.

  2. Cross-Verification: Eligibility criteria, award amounts, and deadlines are verified against at least one official .gov.in or .nic.in source.
  3. Plain Language Rewrite: Complex bureaucratic language is simplified while preserving the exact intent of the official criteria.
  4. Regular Updates: Listed schemes are periodically reviewed and updated when government notifications change deadlines, eligibility, or award amounts.
