About This Scholarship
MahaDBT (Aaple Sarkar DBT) is the official portal of the Government of Maharashtra for all post-matric scholarships. Key schemes include Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Shikshan Shulkh Shishyavrutti Yojna (EBC fee reimbursement) and Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Hostel Maintenance Allowance.
What You'll Receive
Selected students will receive the following benefits as part of the MahaDBT Post-Matric Scholarship Schemes.
Tuition Fee Waiver (EBC / OBC / SC / ST)
50% tuition reimbursement for EBC/OBC, and 100% reimbursement for SC/ST students.
Hostel Maintenance Allowance
Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh hostel allowance: ₹30,000/yr (Mumbai/Pune) and ₹20,000/yr (other cities).
Exam Fee Reimbursement
100% reimbursement of university examination fees.
Free Laptop / Device
Device allowance not included in general MahaDBT post-matric scheme.
Who Can Apply?
Applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria. Please refer to the official guidelines for full details.
- Open to eligible applicants from Maharashtra.
- Must be applying for or enrolled in an Class 11-12 or Diploma / Polytechnic or Undergraduate or Postgraduate or PhD / Research degree at Government of Maharashtra (Higher & Tech Edu / Social Justice).
- Strong academic record as specified in the official guidelines (Minimum 50% marks or equivalent).
- Demonstrated leadership skills, extracurricular involvement, and community engagement.
- Income or category criteria: Below ₹8,00,000 (EBC/OBC) / Below ₹2,50,000 (SC/ST) • Categories: General, OBC, SC, ST, EWS.

Documents Required
Prepare the following documents for your application. The exact requirements may vary.
Maharashtra Domicile Certificate
Tehsildar issued domicile certificate proving residence in Maharashtra.
Income Certificate (Tehsildar / SDO)
Current financial year income certificate showing family income under ₹8 Lakh.
Caste Certificate & Validity Certificate
Required for reserved categories (Caste Validity is mandatory for professional courses).
CAP Allotment Letter
Centralized Admission Process (CAP) allotment letter for degree/diploma courses.
Previous Year Marksheet
Proof of clearing previous qualifying exam.

Register with Aadhaar on MahaDBT
Visit mahadbt.maharashtra.gov.in and create user profile with biometric or OTP authentication.
Complete Profile (Personal, Address, Other, Current Course)
Fill all 6 profile tabs with verified information; green ticks must appear on all tabs.
Select Scheme by Department
Choose Directorate of Higher Education (DHE) or Social Justice and click "Apply".
College Approval & District Sanction
Institute scrutinizes documents online, followed by department clerk and desk officer approval.
Installment Disbursement
First installment of fees is credited to the college, while maintenance allowance goes to student bank account.
